Sacha Inchi (pronounced "sah-cha een-chee”) or also known as Plukenetia Volubilis is a medium-sized, evergreen tree native to the Amazon basin in Peru. It produces a star-shaped fruit that contains significant amounts of omega-3 fatty acids, as well as essential Omega-6 and Omega-9 fatty acids, plus protein. Sacha Inchi seeds are high in Vitamins A & E, essential fatty acids and is considered by many to be "superfood” due to its excellent nutritional profile. Sacha Inchi Oil contains no cholesterol and it has been used by the native Peruvians as a fish alternative in their diet.

Besides, its high concentration of Vitamin E, specifically Tocopherols (190mg/100g) allowing it to withstand cooking over medium-high heat (sauteeing and frying) and has a high smoke point.

Babies: 

Sacha Inchi oil can be introduced as soon as your baby can take in solid foods (usually 6-8 months) Start with a very small amount to add into their meals. It can also be applied on the baby’s skin, helping them moisturize and prevent against dry skin, diaper rash or flaky skin.
Benefits: Saha Inchi oil contains high levels of Omega-3 fatty acids, mainly Alpha Linoleic Acid (ALA) which support brain health. It also contains antioxidants that help to enhance the immune system as well as fibers that help regulate bowel movements.
