The active ingredient in Turmeric, curcumin, is responsible for most of the health benefits. However, it is poorly absorbed into your bloodstream when you consume it. To combat this, it is advised to mix turmeric with black or white pepper as they contain an active compound, Piperine. Piperine has shown to enhance the absorption of curcumin by up to 2000%. Therefore, it is best to combine these 2 ingredients for maximum absorption. 

Mommy’s Corner: 
Babies 6 months and above: it is generally safe to add mild spices such as Turmeric powder to your baby’s food. However, use tiny amounts to ensure your baby can tolerate it to avoid stomach upsets. 
Pregnant or Breastfeeding: It is generally safe to add turmeric powder in foods.

Add desired amount as seasoning on any food

If the order has not been couriered, we can hold your order and issue a refund in store credit which you may use to purchase other items (we do not do cash refunds).
