People with diabetes are recommended to cut sugar and refined carbohydrates from their diet. These foods will raise our blood sugar levels and stimulate the production of insulin to reduce the sugar in the bloodstream. However, in people with prediabetes, their body’s cells are resistant to insulin’s action and causing the sugar to remain high in the blood. This condition can eventually lead to Type 2 Diabetes.
